Protonic® Quattro is a holistic biostimulant developed within Agrology’s Functional Crop Nutrition® framework. Formulated as a soluble liquid, it combines high-concentration seaweed extracts with L-amino acids, carboxylic acids, and trace elements to support plant performance across all growth stages, from establishment to harvest.
Composition
Protonic® Quattro is built on four active components, each contributing a distinct and complementary mode of action:
Seaweed Extracts (50%) — equal parts Laminaria digitata and Ascophyllum nodosum, cold-processed to preserve the full spectrum of bioactive compounds. Seaweed extracts are a natural source of cytokinins, auxins, gibberellins, polysaccharides, and secondary metabolites that regulate plant metabolism and activate endogenous defense mechanisms against both abiotic and biotic stress.
L-Amino Acids (20%) — derived from enzymatic hydrolysis of plant proteins, providing the only form directly absorbable by plants. Foliar application allows immediate uptake and rapid translocation, supporting protein synthesis, chlorophyll production, root development, and plant recovery from stress events.
Carboxylic Acids — low molecular weight organic acids with strong absorption and rapid movement within plant tissues. They increase osmotic pressure, improve nutrient and sugar transport to target organs, and enhance the overall quality of the harvested product.
Molybdenum (Mo) and Cobalt (Co) — two trace elements with distinct and essential roles in plant nutrition. Mo is a structural component of nitrate reductase and nitrogenase, the key enzymes in nitrogen assimilation and fixation. It also acts as a cofactor in the synthesis of abscisic acid (ABA) and auxins, and improves phosphorus availability through synergistic anionic complexation. Co is an essential component of vitamin B12, supports nitrogen-fixing bacteria in legumes, inhibits ethylene-induced senescence, and contributes to drought tolerance.
