Agrology Success Stories: Increase in Organic Olive Oil Production

Through Agrology Success Stories in Greece and Abroad, it is proven that the superior quality and integrated innovative technologies of Agrology’s products, make a difference in crops from the very first applications!

Our goal is to demonstrate that Agrology’s Programs are a profitable investment for farmers, as the financial benefits exceed the extra cost of supplemental applications!

One such Success Story was carried out in Olives for Organic Oil production (SS 2024_76_GR) in 2024, in collaboration with “Kakaletri Georgia”, an important Commercial Store of Agricultural Supplies in the region of Ilia. Throughout the process, the farmer benefited from the continuous guidance and support offered by Agrology’s Technical Department and the collaborating agricultural store of Mrs Kakaletri.

The crop area was divided into two equal plots, one was used as Control, while Agrology’s Program was applied to the other plot. In both plots, the farmer used the same plant protection and plant nutrition-fertilization program, apart from additional applications with Agrology’s products.

Success Story Results

Measurements on both plots revealed impressive results in the Agrology treatment. Specifically, the results were as follows:

  1. Increase of Total Olive Fruit Production by 5.6% (+700 kg/ha)
  • Agrology: 13.3 t/ha
  • Control: 12.6 t/ha

2. Increase in Total Olive Fruit Weight by 12.5%

  • Agrology: 377 g (n= 500 olives)
  • Control: 335 g (n= 500 olives)

3. Increase in Olive flesh weight by 17.4%

A 17.4% increase in flesh weight was observed in fruits from the Agrology treatment compared to the Control. Specifically, flesh comprised 71% of the total fruit weight in the Agrology treatment, whereas in the Control it accounted for 67%.
