Suprafix® MoBoZin SC Research: Proven Non-Toxic effect on Honey Bees

Agrology conducted a scientific study in collaboration with the Laboratory of Sericulture and Apiculture of the Agricultural University of Athens, under the supervision of:

The aim of the study was to investigate whether the application of the micronutrient product Suprafix® MoBoZin SC could affect the mortality and pollen collection activity of honey bees (Apis mellifera L.).

Study Design

A series of controlled experiments evaluated the effects of the product through:

• Feeding exposure
• Direct spraying on bees
• Contact with treated plant surfaces
• Field applications on flowering trees

Study Results

The results demonstrated that Suprafix® MoBoZin SC showed no toxicity to honey bees and caused no negative effects in either laboratory or field conditions.

Across all experimental tests, including:
• feeding exposure
• direct spraying
• contact with treated surfaces
• field spraying during flowering

the mortality of worker bees did not differ from the control group.

Furthermore, no negative impact was observed on pollen collection activity.

It is also important to note that in the wider experimental area no other flowering plants were present in significant density, except citrus trees.

Final Conclusion

The study concluded that Suprafix® MoBoZin SC, when used as a micronutrient nutrition product, does not cause toxicity or adverse effects on honey bees.

Therefore, its use in the field is considered safe when applied according to Good Agricultural Practices.
