Fidel (SS_2025_268_GR) in 2025, in collaboration with the Commercial Store of Agricultural Supplies and Nutrimaster<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> \u201cMpokas Efstathios\u201d, in the region of Pella. Throughout the process, the farmer benefited from the continuous guidance and support offered by Agrology\u2019s Technical Department and the collaborating agricultural store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The crop area was divided into two equal plots, one was used as Control, while Agrology\u2019s Program was applied to the other plot. Spinning Consistency Index (SCI) (+10 points)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>SCI<\/strong> is an indicator of both <strong>spinning performance and commercial value<\/strong>. The <strong>Agrology<\/strong> sample demonstrated superior spinning performance, resulting in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Greater yarn stability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fewer yarn breakages during spinning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Higher processing efficiency and productivity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>b. Upper Half Mean Length (UHML) (+1.15 mm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UHML<\/strong> represents the average length of the longest 50% of fibers. The <strong>Agrology<\/strong> sample exhibited a significantly greater fiber length, providing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Improved yarn cohesion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ability to produce finer and stronger yarns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A superior fiber length class, suitable for high-speed spinning operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>c. Length Uniformity Index (UI)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>UI<\/strong> expresses the uniformity of fiber length distribution. An <strong>Agrology UI value &gt;83%<\/strong> is considered excellent, indicating:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Superior fiber length uniformity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduced yarn variability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved final fabric quality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>d.<\/strong> <strong>Short Fiber Index (SFI)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>SFI<\/strong> represents the percentage of fibers shorter than <strong>12.7 mm<\/strong>. Short fibers contribute poorly to spinning, increase waste generation, and weaken yarn quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compared with the <strong>Control<\/strong>, the <strong>Agrology<\/strong> sample showed a <strong>1.2 percentage point reduction<\/strong> in SFI, indicating:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Improved fiber maturation and harvesting quality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A noticeably superior and technically cleaner fiber<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>e. Fiber Strength (Str, g\/tex)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fiber Strength<\/strong> measures the tensile resistance of the fiber and directly influences spinning speed and yarn strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Agrology value:<\/strong> <strong>30 g\/tex<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Results indicate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent fiber strength<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performance approaching the highest quality category<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A more durable and resistant fiber<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>f. Fiber Elongation (Elg)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fiber Elongation<\/strong> expresses the ability of fibers to elongate before breaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compared with the <strong>Control<\/strong>, the <strong>Agrology<\/strong> sample showed an increase of <strong>0.7 percentage points<\/strong>, resulting in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Improved absorption of mechanical stresses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fewer yarn breakages during spinning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Greater fiber elasticity, particularly beneficial for demanding textile processing operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>g. Even an increase of approximately <strong>0.7%<\/strong> is considered significant, as it results in a greater amount of lint produced per kilogram of seed cotton.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Seed Yield:<\/strong> Although the Control treatment produced a higher seed yield, cottonseed has a considerably lower commercial value than lint.
