{"id":14275,"date":"2022-09-14T17:29:04","date_gmt":"2022-09-14T14:29:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agrology.eu.116-202-233-51.rulerhost.com\/en\/?p=14275"},"modified":"2026-02-27T09:44:57","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T07:44:57","slug":"kiwi-qualitative-characteristics-improvement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.agrology.eu\/en\/agrology-success-stories\/kiwi-qualitative-characteristics-improvement\/","title":{"rendered":"Kiwi qualitative characteristics improvement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kiwi qualitative characteristics improvement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading sm-title font-light mb-4\">Results of the ANTI-Stress 4 Fruit Crops Research Project (NSRF 2018-2021) \u2013 Aristotle University of Thessaloniki<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:31px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Through Research Programs in collaboration with Universities and Research Institutes in Greece and Abroad, it is proven that the superior quality and integrated innovative technologies of Agrology\u2019s <strong>Functional Crop Nutrition<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> products, make a difference in crops from the very first applications!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our goal is to demonstrate that application programs with Agrology\u2019s <strong><em>Functional Crop Nutrition<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/em><\/strong> products are an obvious investment for producers, as the financial benefits exceed the cost of supplemental applications! <a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One such Research Program was carried out in 2020, on&nbsp;<strong>Kiwi var. Hayward <\/strong>in Pieria, within the framework of the<strong>&nbsp;ANTI-Stress 4 Fruit Crops Research Project (NSRF 2018-2021), in collaboration with the<\/strong> <strong>Department of Horticulture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The field was divided into three equal plots where three different treatments were tested:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Treatment 1: 100% Synthetic Cytokinin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Treatment 2: x2 Nodius<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> F-Kin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Treatment 3: <strong>Agrology&#8217;s Functional Crop Nutrition<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In all plots, the farmer used the same plant protection and plant nutrition-fertilization program, apart from the additional applications of each treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:67px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Identity of the Experiment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cultivation Season:&nbsp;<\/strong>2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location:&nbsp;<\/strong>Karitsa, Pieria<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Partner<\/strong>: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki \u2013 Department of Horticulture <strong>Cultivation:&nbsp;<\/strong>Kiwi<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Variety<\/strong>: Hayward<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Configuration type:<\/strong>&nbsp;Pergola<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program Duration<\/strong>:15\/5\/2020 \u2013 20\/10\/2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Experiment Goals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>By applying Agrology\u2019s <strong>Functional Crop Nutrition<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> products during specific growth stages, farmers can achieve significant agronomic benefits for the crops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Goal of this Research Program was to improve the Kiwi qualitative characteristics (Dry matter, flesh firmness, white kernel firmness).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Crop Nutrition Program in Treatments<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Application Timings, Foliar dosages of the tested products in each treatment, are given in Picture 1.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"456\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agrology.eu\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2022\/10\/table-1-ciwi.png\" alt=\"Picture 1.
