Agrology Success Stories: Yield Increase in Potato (Var. Spunta)

Through Agrology Success Stories in Greece and Abroad, it is proven that the superior quality and integrated innovative technologies of Agrology’s Functional Crop Nutrition® products, make a difference in crops from the very first applications!

Our goal is to demonstrate that application programs with Agrology’s Functional Crop Nutrition® products are an obvious investment for producers, as the financial benefits exceed the cost of supplemental applications!

One such Success Story was carried out on Potato, var. Spunta (SS 2025_209_GR) in Euboea, in collaboration with the agricultural store “Gkikas Nikolaos”, in 2025. Throughout the process, the farmer benefited from the continuous guidance and support offered by Agrology’s Technical Department and the collaborating agricultural store.

The field was divided into two plots, one was used as the Control, while Agrology’s Program was applied to the other plot. In both plots, the farmer used the same plant protection and plant nutrition-fertilization program, apart from the additional applications with Agrology’s Functional Crop Nutrition® products.

2. Tuber Weight Increase

Tuber Weight Increase: +44 g/tuber or 12.4%

  • Agrology: 400.1 g
  • Control: 356.1 g
With the application of Agrology Program, an increase in Tuber Weight of 12.4% (+44 g) was achieved compared to the control.

A) Increase in Vertical Tuber Diameter (cm): +13.8% (+1.6 cm)

Total Yield Increase: +5.49 t/ha or 16%

  • Control: 34.3 t/ha
With the application of Agrology Program, an increase in Total Yield of 16% (+5.49 t/ha) was achieved compared to the control.
